The General Settings panel is the control center for global functionality, automation, and security.
This guide explains each section of the settings area so you can configure the plugin to fit your business needs.

- Go to Spin Wheel > Settings.
- You will see five tabs:
- Labels: Manage your lead folders.
- Integrations: Connect to Mailchimp, Zapier, etc.
- Email: Customize the winner’s email.
- Security: Block bad IPs.
- General: Timezones and data policies.
1. Labels (Lead Pipeline)
This section controls the folders in your Leads Dashboard.
- What it does: Allows you to rename the default stages (e.g., change “New” to “Fresh Leads”).
- Why change it? To match your internal business language.
- Note: The system IDs (like
new) stay the same in the database to prevent errors, but the label you see changes.
2. Integrations (Automation)
Connect the specific tools you use to run your business.
AI Assistant (OpenAI)
- Purpose: Uses AI to help you write better coupon headlines.
- Setup: Paste your OpenAI API Key.

- Setup: Select the list from the dropdown menu.
3. Email (Winner Notifications)
- Pro Feature: This allows you to completely design the email sent to winners.

- Placeholders: Use tags like
{{coupon_code}}or{{prize_label}}to insert dynamic data. - Preview: See exactly how it looks before saving.
4. Security (Blocking)
Keep your campaign safe from cheaters.
- Blocked IPs: A list of all IP addresses you have banned. You can add one manually here (e.g., if you know a specific spammer’s IP).
- Blocked Devices: A list of device fingerprints banned from spinning.
5. General & Data
- Default Timezone: Ensures your charts and logs match your local time.
- Data Retention: How long should we keep leads in the “Trash” before permanent deletion? (Default: 30 days).
Summary
The Settings panel might look technical, but it is “set and forget.” Once you connect your Mailchimp or set your timezone, you rarely need to touch this page again.
Take 5 minutes to set it up correctly now, and save hours of manual work later.
