Your Analytics Command Center
The Analytics screen in Ultimate Spin Wheel turns raw spin data into a clear picture of how your campaigns are performing. Every number is calculated server-side from your own database, so it is accurate, cannot be blocked by ad blockers, and is always yours. This guide walks through every metric, chart, and panel on the dashboard so you know exactly what you are looking at and how to act on it.
The page is built from four areas, top to bottom: a filter and export bar, a summary and insights panel, a row of headline stat cards, and a set of charts and leaderboards.
1. The Headline Stat Cards
These cards give you an at-a-glance view of the totals across the selected range. The dashboard tracks engagements (recorded spin interactions stored in your database), not raw popup views, so every figure reflects a real interaction.
- Total Engagements: The number of spin interactions recorded. This is your core volume metric.
- Total Winners: How many of those engagements resulted in a prize being won.
- Total Leads: The count of unique contacts captured, de-duplicated by email address (or phone number when no email is present). One person who spins several times still counts as a single lead.
- Total Email & Total Phone: Unique email addresses and unique phone numbers collected. (Phone capture is a Pro field.)
- Today’s Engagements, Winners, and Leads: The same figures for today, with a small “vs yesterday” percentage badge so you can spot momentum at a glance.
Near the bottom of the page a second strip of cards shows derived rates: Win Rate (winners divided by total engagements), Lead Capture (leads divided by total engagements), Daily Avg (a 30-day average of engagements per day), and Contact Split (emails versus phones). Note that the “Conversion Rate” shown in the exported PDF is the same value as Win Rate.
2. The Charts
Below the summary the dashboard renders a set of interactive charts. Hover any point or bar for exact figures.
- Monthly Trends (line): Engagements, winners, and leads plotted over the last 12 months. Use it to spot seasonality and long-term growth. A sudden spike usually lines up with a promotion or email blast; a steady decline can mean audience fatigue, so it may be time to refresh your prizes or design.
- Hourly Pattern (area): Engagements by hour of day over the last 7 days, so you can see your peak “golden hour”.
- Daily Pattern (bar): Engagements by day of the week over the last 30 days, revealing your strongest days.
- Weekly Pattern (bar): Engagement totals for each of the last 8 weeks.
- Prize Distribution (bar): A ranked bar chart of your most-won prizes (top 10). Use it as a safety check on your “game economy” — if a high-value prize is being won far more than intended, revisit its probability on the campaign’s Coupons tab.
3. Leaderboards & Live Activity
- Prize Leaderboard: Your top 5 most-claimed rewards, each with its coupon title, code, and claim count. Use it to see which offers resonate most.
- Live Activity Feed: The most recent spins, showing the participant’s name, the prize (or “No Prize”), any coupon code, and the timestamp.
There is no per-prize “maximum winners” counter and no inventory tab. To cap how often a prize is handed out, use a Unique Pool coupon (a fixed list of codes that is skipped once exhausted), a low probability, or the campaign’s Max Impressions setting.
4. Insights & Summary Panel
Above the stat cards sits a summary panel that highlights quick, plain-language takeaways generated from your own data:
- Growth Trend — today’s engagements compared with yesterday.
- Best Campaign — your highest-volume campaign by total spins.
- Best Time and Best Day — your peak engagement hour and weekday.
- Top Prize, Avg Daily Spins, This Week, and Active Days (days with activity in the last 30).
A “Detailed Tips” section can be expanded for longer, actionable notes on momentum, peak timing, lead capture, and your best-performing campaign and prize.
Filtering & Exporting
- Quick filters: Today and Yesterday are available in the free version. Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, This Month, and Last Month are (Pro).
- Custom date range and filtering by a specific campaign are (Pro) features. In free, the dashboard reports across all campaigns.
- Export PDF: The Export PDF button generates a branded report with the summary tables and charts. (Exporting your captured leads to CSV or Excel is done from the Entries screen, not here.)
- Refresh: Click Refresh to reload the latest numbers on demand.
Glossary
- Engagement: A recorded spin interaction saved to the database.
- Winner: An engagement that landed on a prize slice and received a coupon.
- Lead: A unique contact, counted once per email (or phone when no email is given).
- Win Rate: Winners divided by total engagements.
- Lead Capture: Leads divided by total engagements.
- Max Impressions: A separate campaign setting that caps how many times a popup is shown. It is not an analytics metric on this dashboard.
Frequently Asked Questions
How fresh is the data?
Every spin is written to the database the moment it happens. The dashboard shows those figures when the page loads; click Refresh to pull the latest counts at any time.
Can I keep my own test spins out of the numbers?
The dashboard counts every recorded spin. For testing, use the admin Preview Mode (append ?spin_wheel=preview), which bypasses the display and blocking rules so you can check the wheel without triggering it normally. If you want to keep test data cleanly separated, run a dedicated test campaign so its entries are easy to identify.
Why don’t the numbers match Google Analytics?
Google Analytics relies on client-side JavaScript, which ad blockers frequently strip out. Ultimate Spin Wheel records its metrics server-side in your WordPress database, so they cannot be blocked by browser extensions and reflect exactly what happened.
