Asking Performance Questions with the AI Assistant
The AI Assistant is a Pro feature. It lets you query your Ultimate Spin Wheel campaign and lead data in plain English instead of clicking through the analytics dashboard. This guide covers the essential questions to ask for a fast, daily read on how your wheels are performing.
Before you start: The AI Assistant lives in the Pro plugin and runs on your own OpenAI or OpenRouter API key. In the free plugin the robot button appears but returns an upgrade prompt. Open it from the floating robot icon in the plugin admin, and use the built-in quick-prompt buttons or type your own question.
The 30-Second Pulse Check
Start with a high-level summary. Ask something like “Give me an overview of my performance” or “How does this week compare to last week?” The Assistant reads the stored data and reports the headline numbers.
- Impressions: How many times the wheel or popup was shown.
- Spins & leads: How many visitors actually engaged and how many entries were captured.
- Trends: Whether volume is up or down versus the previous period.
The red flag: If you see thousands of impressions but almost no spins, something is wrong — the popup may be misconfigured, hidden behind another element, or failing to load. Catching that early can save a day of lost sign-ups.
The Metrics That Matter
Conversion Rate
Ask: “What is my email capture rate?” or “How can I improve my conversions?” Conversion rate is broadly spins (or captured leads) divided by impressions. The benchmarks below are general industry guidance, not values enforced by the plugin:
- Under ~2%: Likely a problem — weak copy, poor timing, or an intrusive popup.
- ~5%–10%: A healthy range for most stores.
- Above ~15%: Excellent. Whatever you are doing, keep it.
Redemption & Revenue (requires WooCommerce)
Collecting an email is only half the story — the question that matters is whether winners actually buy. The Assistant can connect prizes to real orders only when the WooCommerce integration is active, because that is what links a won coupon to an order total. Without WooCommerce there is no purchase data to analyze. When it is connected, ask which prizes lead to actual purchases; a very low redemption rate usually means the prize value feels too small, so consider a stronger offer.
Comparing Campaigns
Running more than one wheel? Ask “Which campaign has the best win rate?” or compare two campaigns by name. The Assistant surfaces which one converts better so you can double down on the winner — for example, shifting effort toward mobile if a mobile-targeted campaign out-converts a desktop one. This is manual comparison of your live campaigns, not an automated split-test engine.
Timing & Forecasting
Ask “What’s the best time to run campaigns?” or “Which day of the week gets the most spins?” to plan around your peaks. You can also reason about prize fulfilment: if a slice wins roughly a known share of spins and you have a fixed number of items, estimate how many you will give away.
To adjust a win rate, open the campaign and go to the Coupons tab, then lower the slice’s probability value. (There is no separate “Probability” tab.) To hard-cap fulfilment instead, use a Unique Pool of limited codes — the slice drops out of the draw when the codes run out — or set the campaign’s Max Impressions limit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can the AI see my revenue in dollars?
Only when the WooCommerce integration is active. Because won coupons are tied to orders, the Assistant can reference order totals and revenue. Without WooCommerce, it works only from spin, impression, and lead data.
Does it need an API key?
Yes. The AI Assistant runs on your own OpenAI or OpenRouter API key, which you configure in the Pro plugin settings. You are querying your own data through your own key.
Is this available in the free plugin?
No. The AI Assistant is a Pro-only feature. In the free plugin the robot button is visible but sending a message returns a prompt to upgrade to Ultimate Spin Wheel Pro.

Conclusion
The AI Assistant (Pro) turns your stored campaign data into plain-language answers, so a quick daily question can flag a broken popup, a slipping conversion rate, or your best-performing campaign in seconds.
